I am really into fashion communication and art direction. This is something that I would like to pursue in the future. Directing photoshoots, designing teeshirt prints and creating look books. I created a brand with a friend during summer and made teeshirts and did photoshoots. I enjoyed the collaborating work so much and will definitely continue building it and include everything in the collab briefs.
Apart from that, I found out that I tend to start off a project with visual ideas that are heavily aesthetic driven. Instead of a strong message, I go for the visuals first. I start off with something visually that pop up in my mind, then research, then development. This might be the reason why I am into branding, since I believe that having a strong brand identity is to first have a significant style and aesthetic. Therefore, most of the briefs within the 10 would be rebranding/ branding related.
One thing that I would like to achieve is to create something that is heavily research based. As I would say this is one of my weaknesses, I would like to strengthen my concept thinking by starting off a brief by researching and then create something based off the research. I hope this can balance off my habit of being strongly aesthetically driven and finally creating good designs that can help and improve people's lives.
I might also want to try typography as I am really interested in that too.
