Charlotte Maldari
- fashion branding and communication
- present yourself as a whole instead of an individual would benefit
- come up with a studio name or brand name instead of using a personal name
- build it bigger than what you are when you pitch yourself to someone
MANIFESTO
- why you exist
- what you're passionate about
- why they should care about what you do
- "clear and evident"
- what you are doing
- what you are doing
TASK
- PDF presentation commuting my manifesto
- like a- pitch that you would make to a potential employer/ studio manager/ art director/ client
- in the style of my own personal branding/ identity
I would like to look at different people's manifesto before I start to get a solid idea of what I am going to include in mine. I think a. manifesto is similar to a portfolio, but with more information about myself instead of my work. Its more on my own ambition and my values. As I have got a CV and cover letter design. I think going for that layout out would be appropriate to make everything consistent, however those were made a year ago, I would like to add more decorative stuff in it to make it more "me" to strengthen my "Style" although I do not think a have a significant style guess, Definitely something more colourful? this is something I found has changed within the past 1-2 years in my design style.
THINGS I NEED BEFORE MAKING THE MANIFESTO
- final studio/ brand name
- make clear myself what I would like to pursue in the future
I have developed a portfolio site using adobe portfolio, I use the name CHOMAN as the home page name. It is my Chinese name. I also thought of using THEMANPRODUCTION as this was what I sed to introduce myself in the previous task. The name sounds more professional but I do not vibe with it compared to CHOMAN as I feel like CHOMAN is more friendly and approachable.
VISUALS
After researching into the 3 practitioners in the previous task, I would like my manifesto/ portfolio to be clean with images as the main communication tool.
