I did some visual research on old Chinese calendars. Most of them look similar with similar layouts and type settings. I also looked at designs of the similar style that people recreated. A Pinterest board was created as a reference board for my design.
These traditional calendars are really thick and contain 365 pages with one day on each pages, however I think it will more more doable to create posters instead. I will choose 1-2 answers from the poll I thin can most conclude 2020 as the theme the posters.
After looking at many different layouts of Chinese traditional calendars, I drew a few wireframes of the layout I would like to use in my poster. The kept the main significant elements of the calendars, the two columns on the sides and the big image/ number in the centre of the upper half of the page.
