[PHOTOSHOOTS] Choosing venues for in person shooting

We had a lot of places in mind that we would want to go for our shootings. However, time is limited and we do not have time to go site visit before the shoots.

Locations

Please love me:

  • Kwai Gwong goldfish pool

  • Goldfish market

  • Nai Chung Beach

Leave me alone:

  • Lift to car park (my building) (top view : pretending to be a cam)

  • Ka Hing Supermarket https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zfh7w4kdiUM

  • Outdoor carpark (Dad’s secret parking spot) (car mirrors, abandoned spaces)

  • Restaurant, eating alone? (noodle place 縈發)

  • Metal fence + abandoned spaces (harbour/ joelle’s old home chud meen)

  • Car park?

    Ma on shan supermarket

  • Items: surveillance round mirrors

We also considered the proximity of the places from our homes as the time we got left for the shoots depends on the progress of Print House. Therefore we would like to choose somewhere close to our homes where we are familiar and lessen the chances to fail our photoshoots.

Final decision

We told both of them that the shooting will be super casual as we do not want to give them pressure. This is also me and Sonja's first time doing outdoor shoots, therefore we were not that professional therefore we would like the models to feel as casual as possible so that we ourselves wouldn't be stressed too..

Gillian: Kwai Gwong goldfish pool, West Kowloon Promenade

As the two venues are not close to each other at all, we asked a friend to drive us from spot to spot in the shooting day. She is good at photography too so she will be our one day photography coach and driver.

Kemina: Hung Hom supermarket

We are not sure if the supermarket would be to crowded, therefore we told Kemina that we will be wandering around Hung Hom and look for spots spontaneously.
