Logotype
One serif and one sans serif font were chosen to be further developed to see which suits more. The tittles of the sans serif type were being transformed into ovals. This is to imitate the shape of most of the accessories white.studio sells. However, I thought that sans serif would not be the best option to represent their products. As straight lines, curves and circles are the main shapes that appear in their accessories, a serif font would better speak for their brand.
Logo initial idea
While developing the logotype, I came up with the idea of extracting part of the logotype into a simpler form the logo. I took the "hi" from white and the "d" from studio to form this odd looking logo.
Random thoughts
- All accessories from white.studio are handmade. I thought it would be a good idea to translate the concept of DIY into the brand image too as it could be one of the biggest selling points.
- Only using the "I" that I made as the logo might also be a good execution.
